Funeral services for William Hagge, 89, Sunbury, were held Nov. 5 at Durant, with the Rev. James P. Barton, pastor of St. Paul's Episcopal church, officiating. Burial was in the Durant cemetery.

Mr. Hagge died Nov. 2 at Mercy hospital, Davenport, following a brief illness.

The son of Henry and Catherine Hagge, he was born Dec. 12, 1896 at New London.

He married Minnie Tank on Dec. 18, 1920 at Davenport. The couple farmed near Durant for 21 years. He later was engaged in tiling. Mr. and Mrs. Hagge moved to Sunbury in 1945.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Wilbur, Durant; a daughter, Nelda Hagge, Davenport; a brother, Otto, Durant; and 4 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters.
