Last rites for Frank J. Darting, 73, Wilton Junction, were held Nov. 5 with the Rev. I. G. Wilkins officiating. Burial was in the Oakdale cemetery at Wilton Junction.

Mr. Darting died Nov. 3 at University hospital, Iowa City, after a short illness.

A retired trucker, Mr. Darting had been a resident of Wilton Junction 60 years. He was born May 3, 1893, in Indiana, the son of William and Lillian Belk Darting.

He was first married to Katie Brase. She died in 1923. He was married to Stella Rice, Nov. 29, 1928 at Muscatine.

Mr. Darting was a member of the Methodist church.

He is survived by the widow, Mrs. Stella C. Darting, Wilton Junction; 2 daughters, Mrs. Adolph (Inagene) Klatt and Mrs. Jeane (Edith) Welker, both of Muscatine; 3 sisters, Mrs. Joe (Lois) Martin, Tipton, Mrs. Mazo Hesford, Muscatine and Mrs. D. V. (Inez) Small, Wilton Junction; 4 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Raymond, who will killed in service during World War II; 2 brothers and a sister.
