Frances Marion Ahrens, 95, of Tipton, passed peacefully into eternity on Sunday, February 14, 2021, after suffering a stroke and while under the care of Prairie Hills Assisted Living in Tipton. On Friday, February 19, 2021, Fry Funeral Home will host a Visitation at noon, immediately followed by Funeral Services at 1:00 pm and conclude with burial services in the Tipton Masonic Cemetery. The Rev. Norman Anderson will officiate. Online condolences may be shared at www.fryfuneralhome.com . A memorial fund has been established for the Rochester United Methodist Church. Frances was the daughter of Vance and Nellie Buckman Dallege. She was born on Monday, September 21, 1925 in Cedar County, Iowa. Frances attended Sandy Hook Country School and on March 7, 1943 was united in marriage to Wayne Ralph Ahrens in the Bennett Methodist Church. Frances was a past member of the South Bethel Methodist Church and later became a member of the Rochester Methodist church.
Frances was a homemaker who loved her family, living in the country and serving in her church.

Frances is survived by her children, Sandra (Robert) Slade of Kissimmee, Florida, Jerry (Margaret) Ahrens of Oroville, California and James (Teresa) Ahrens of Tipton, Iowa; her sister, Clara Eves of Tipton, Iowa; her brother Harley Dallege of Marion, Iowa; 9 grandchildren – Jennifer, Derek, Julie, Jeremy, Leza, Scott, Amber, Jeffery and Jaimee; 16 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wayne on September 28, 1998, her daughter, Diane (Leslie) Thede in 2018; and by her siblings – Leo, Floyd, Darrell and Edna.
