Funeral services for Emil Frederick Lett, 85, were held at the Sheets and Son funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. E. H. Lauer officiating.

Pallbearers were Darold, Wilbert and Edwin Lett, Arnold Martin, Harry Heisch and Wilhelm Ovesen. Mrs. Arnold Swan was organist and Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Rorick were in charge of flowers.

Mr. Lett died at 6 a.m. Oct. 10 at the Utopia Nursing home in Tipton after a lingering illness.

Mr. Lett was born in Davenport June 10, 1880, the son of Fred and Margaret Johansen Lett. He was educated in the rural Cedar county schools and was a farmer all of his life.

He is survived by 2 brothers, Harry and Clarence, Wilton Junction and 2 sisters, Mrs. Clara Martin and Mrs. Effie Kleppe, Tipton.

He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and a sister.
