Funeral services for Birdsey Lee Norton, 92, were held March 20 at the Presbyterian church in Wilton Junction. Burial was in the Oakdale cemetery.

Mr. Norton, who leaves 82 descendants, died March 18 at a Wilton Junction nursing home following an extended illness.

He married Miriam Maud Johnson April 18, 1895 in Wilton Junction. A member of the Presbyterian church, he was a member of the Wilton Masonic Lodge and Purity Chapter of Eastern Star. He was a retired farmer.

Survivors include 3 sons, Griffith J., Charles W., and Birdsey L. Jr., all of Wilton Junction; one brother, Carl, Reseda, Calif.; 17 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, 2 brothers, and a sister.
