Mrs. Amanda Blanche Pike, 84, of Nichols died early Feb. 19 at a nursing home in West Branch.

Mrs. Pike, a resident of Nichols for 25 years, was born in Cedar county Sept. 22, 1880, the daughter of George and Margaret Peden Carlisle.

Her husband, William, preceded her in death in 1957.

Survivors are a brother, Norman Carlisle, and a sister, Mrs. Pearl Hines, both of West Liberty, and a granddaughter in California.
