Funeral services for Mrs. William Tittle, 77 were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2 in the Dye funeral home with the Rev. James Elvig officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Pallbearers were Sylvester Luikart, Floyd Becker, David Henderson, Duane Bolton, Erwin Hartig and Clarence Fay. Jeanne Schneider was vocalist, with Mrs. Norma Christianson as organist. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Anderson were in charge of flowers.

Mrs. Tittle died at Mercy hospital in Iowa City Jan. 30.

The daughter of Clarence and Sara Shepherd, she was born near Adeline, Marshall county, W. Va. She was married to William Tittle Dec. 21, 1912, the year she came to Cedar county. She was a member of the Red Oak Presbyterian church and the Red Oak Circle of King's Daughters.

She is survived by her husband, 2 daughters, Mrs. Harold (Edith) Hass, Tipton, and Mrs. Leo (Wilma) Fisher, Stanwood; a brother, Lee Shepherd, Handley, W. Va., 4 sisters, Mrs. Alvin (Nora) Deal, Ransom, Ill.; Mrs. Irwin (Avis) Denaple, Dwight, Ill., Florence Shepherd, Vermont and Mrs. Velma Tincher, Whitesville, W. Va.; 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
