Walter A. Kiser, 68, of Wilton Junction, died at 2:30 p.m. Jan. 15 at the Muscatine General hospital following a short illness.

Born May 12, 1896, in Cedar county, he was the son of L. Jacob and Nora Wilkenson Kiser.

He was married Aug. 26, 1931, in Muscatine, to Erma F. Sissel. A member of the Sugar Creek Presbyterian church, he was a life-long farmer of the Wilton Junction area. He was a member of the Wilton Masonic Lodge and the Eastern Star.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. George (Janice) Williams, Williamsport, Pa.; a brother, George R., Wilton Junction; one sister, Mrs. Robert (Lela) Barnes of Kent, Ohio; and 3 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter.

Funeral services were Jan.18 at Wilton Junction with Rev. Phillip Brunn officiating. Burial was at the Memorial Park cemetery in Muscatine.
