Funeral services for Estella M. Smith,88, who operated Smith's Ready to Wear for 35 years, were held Jan. 20 at the Sheets and Son funeral home. The Rev. Eugene Miller officiated.

Pallbearers were Fay Wagner, Don Armstrong Sr., Ralph Wingert, Leon Conway, A. S. Petersen and Raymond Spencer. Mrs. Irma Crawford was organist and Mr. and Mrs. Don Nelson Sr. were in charge of flowers. Burial was in Oakdale cemetery at Wilton Junction.

Miss Smith died Jan. 18 at her home in Tipton after a lingering illness.

The daughter of James and Anna Hucke Smith, she was born Feb. 26, 1876 at Wilton Junction and was educated in the Wilton Junction school and the German-American college at Wilton Junction.

A resident of Tipton since 1912, she operated Smith's Ready to Wear for 35 years, retiring in 1951. She was a member of the Methodist church and W.S.C.S.

She is survived by a brother-in-law, Forrest Chamberlain, Tipton and a cousin, Mrs. J. S. Wilfong, Tallahassee, Fla.
