Funeral services for Major Myrl V. Pauls, 47, were held Nov. 13 at the Chapman funeral home in Clarence. Burial was in the Red Oak cemetery. Pauls died Nov. 10 at Denver, Colo.

The son of M. V. and Anna Muesing Pauls, he was born on a farm northwest of Tipton June 16, 1917. He graduated from the Lowden high school in 1934. He was confirmed in Zion Evangelical church in 1930.

He was married to Shirley Larson of Eagle Grove July 6, 1946.

He entered the air force in 1941 and served as navigator, bombardier and radar operator in the United States, the China-Burma-India theater, England, Europe and Africa. He was discharged from the air force in 1957.

Major Pauls is survived by his wife, 2 sons, Bruce and Douglas; his father, his step-mother, a sister, Mrs. Arthur Fisher, Lowden and a brother, Melvin, Mechanicsville. He was preceded in death by his mother in1920.
