Funeral services were July 16 in Wilton Junction for William H. Smith, 96, Wilton Junction, who died July 14 in a Muscatine nursing home after a lingering illness.

He was born May 17, 1870, the son of Oliver and Mary King Smith in Cedar county. He was a life long resident of the community, engaging in farming.

He was married to Maude Kelly March 24, 1897 in Muscatine. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Jennie Ford, Wilton Junction. Preceding him in death were his wife, parents and a sister.
