Ms. Minerva Crees, 95, West Liberty died June 6 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Agnes Watters, West Liberty.

Funeral services were June 9 with the Rev. Dale Williams officiating and burial was in Oakridge cemetery.

Mrs. Crees was born May 3, 1869, in Cedar county, the daughter of Joel and Ursuala Fairies. She was married to Willard Lee Crees February 15, 1893. Mrs. Crees had lived in West Liberty since 1920, and before that had lived all her life in Cedar county.

She was a member of the Methodist church, the Floriculture society and the Pythian Sisters temple in West Liberty.

Surviving are her daughter; a granddaughters, Mrs. John Sturtz, living in Wisconsin; and 3 great-grandchildren.
