Funeral services for Ed Lamp, 85, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 22, at the Sheets and Dahn funeral home with Rev. Ernest Lauer in charge. Burial will be in the Masonic cemetery.

Mr. Lamp died May 19 at his home in Tipton.

The son of Henry and Margaret Steffen Lamp, he was born at Durant March 3, 1879. He was married to Rosa Young at Tipton March 3, 1909. He was a retired farmer.

He is survived by his wife, 2 daughters, Mrs. Neil (Leola) Carstensen, Tipton; and Mrs. Robert (Vera) Laing, Bettendorf, a son, Vernon, Tipton, 6 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. He is also survived by 2 brothers, Julius, West Branch and Joe, Letts; 3 sisters, Mrs. William Weih, Mrs. Jake LaFranz and Mrs. Kathryn Achey, all of Tipton.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
