Robert McCarthy, 57, a native of Clarence, died last week at Alliance, Nebr. Funeral services were held in St. Patrick's Catholic church in Anamosa April 24. His father was a postmaster in Clarence.

He is survived by his widow, 3 children, his mother, Mrs. William McCarthy of Anamosa, 2 brothers, Francis and Douglas and a sister, Mrs. Ed (Mary Caroline) Kausnicki of Atlantic.
