Funeral services for Everett William Rorick, 76, were held Jan. 8 at West Liberty, with the Rev. Robert Fall of the Wilton Junction Methodist church in charge. Burial was in the Oakdale cemetery at Wilton Junction.
Mr. Rorick died Jan. 5 at West Liberty where he had lived for 4 years. Before that he had farmed north of Wilton Junction for 48 years.
The son of James and Sarah Smith Rorick, he was born May 13, 1888 at Bennett. He married Nola Reynolds Feb. 28, 1908, at Wilton Junction. He was of the Methodist faith.
Surviving are his wife, 2 sons, James Lester, Chicago, Ill.; and Kenneth, Big Rock; a daughter, Mrs. Ivan Battern, Nicholson, Pa.; and daughter, Mrs. Wayne Maurer, West Liberty. Also a brother, Roy, Bennett, and sister, Mrs. Ada Piersol, Muscatine, 23 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were a son and his parents.
