Mrs. Charlie Weaver, 75, Anamosa, mother of Harold Weaver of Tipton, died Dec. 24 at a Tipton nursing home following a lingering illness. Funeral services were held in Anamosa Dec. 27, with the Rev. Ellis Webb in charge. Burial was in Forest cemetery.
The daughter of Daniel and Susan Hotz Moyer, she was born Feb. 10, 1888, near Anamosa. She was married to Charlie Weaver March 29, 1905. The couple lived on farms in Jones and Linn counties until Mr. Weaver's death in 1950. Since then she had made her home with her children.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Russell Gray, Monticello; 3 sons, Harold, Tipton; Leland, Marion, and Kenneth, West Branch; 2 brothers, James Moyer, Center Point, and Frank Moyer, Central City; 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
