Louis Wehde, 65, was killed when a tractor he was driving rolled over on a gravel road between Highway 6 and the Rock Island railroad tracks, a mile west of Walcott.

It is not known when the accident took place. Wehde's body was found shortly before 8 a.m. by a high school boy on his way to school. The lights of the tractor were still burning.

Wehde, who spent most of his life in the Cedar county area, is survived by his ex-wife and 4 children: Mrs. Harry Pursley, Tipton; Andy, Iowa City and Lee and Mrs. John Hayes, Lubbock, Texas and 3 brothers and 2 sisters, including Honnis and George of Tipton.
