William Krenz, 91, died Dec. 10 at 6:45 a.m. at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Tom Kankel in Davenport. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 12 at Chapman's Funeral home in Wheatland. The Rev. Edwin Otte officiated. Burial was in Pine Hill cemetery with the Masonic lodge performing the rites.

Mr. Krenz was born Feb. 13, 1871 at Gooselake, the son of Carl and Dorothea Krenz. He received his education in the rural schools. He was married Dec. 20, 1905 to Catherine Ahrens and they farmed in Cedar, Clinton and Scott counties until 1931 when they moved to Wheatland.

In 1954 they moved to Davenport where Mrs. Krenz died in 1958. Following her death, he was cared for in his home for several months by his niece, Emma Krenz, and for the past 3 1/2 years he has lived with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Kankel. He was a member of the Wheatland Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include 3 daughters, Mrs. (Gladys) Kankel, Davenport; Mrs. LaMarr (Florence) Bischke, Davenport and Mrs. Lee J. (Lorriane) Milota, Lowden; 2 sons, Earl of Davenport and Leroy of Tipton; 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one son, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
