Funeral services for Lucien E. (Teefee) Roberts, 67, a Tipton postoffice employee for 25 years, were held at St. Mary's church Nov. 24 with the Rev. Edward F. Collins in charge. Burial was in St. Mary's cemetery.

Pallbearers were Leonard Port, Leonard Dice, X. C. Nady, John Bender, Robert Harney and George Thordsen. Mrs. Leonard Dice and Mrs. John Bender were in charge of flowers. Graveside services were by the Busch-Dennis post of the American Legion.

Mr. Roberts died at Veterans hospital Nov. 22 following surgery.

The son of James and Lena Plank Roberts, he was born in Tipton Dec. 23, 1895 and spent his life in Tipton. He attended the Tipton schools.

A veteran of World War I, he served in the army from June 14, 1918 until Nov. 28, 1919, receiving his discharge at Camp Zachary Taylor.

He was a member of the American Legion, the Loyal Order of the Moose and was an honorary member of the Tipton fire department.

He is survived by his sister, Mrs. Kathryn Carlisle, with whom he made his home, a brother, George, Davenport and several nieces and nephews.
