Funeral services for Mrs. Edna Maris Gruwell, 80, former West Branch resident, were held Jan. 26 in Corona del Mar, Calif. Burial was in Mountain View cemetery in Pasadena, Calif.

Mrs. Gruwell had suffered from a heart condition for many years and was found dead in bed Jan. 22.

Mrs. Gruwell was the daughter of William and Sara Maris and spent her childhood and early married life in West Branch. She married Art Gruwell. She is survived by a son, Arthur, who is married to Amber Fairall, daughter of Delbert and Marguerite Fairall, now also living in Corona del Mar.

She was preceded in death by her husband and 2 sons, one who died in infancy and Wilfred who died some years ago.
