Mrs. Vivian Amanda Ketelsen, 64, of near Tipton, died Dec. 1 at Mercy hospital in Iowa City after a lengthy illness.
She had lived near Tipton for 3 years and at Wilton Junction 26 years before.
Services were held Dec. 4 at the Zion Lutheran church at Wilton Junction, with the Rev. John B. Nieman officiating. Committal was in Oakdale cemetery.
Mrs. Ketelsen was born at Burlington Jan. 17, 1899, the daughter of John and Amanda B. Berg Gustafson.
She was married to Walter Fischer, who preceded her in death in 1937. She was married to Ludwig Ketelsen, Aug. 5, 1961, at Wilton Zion Lutheran church, of which she was a member.
Besides her husband, she is survived by 2 sons, Richard Fischer and Robert E. Fischer, of Moline, Ill., and a stepson, Harlan E. Ketelsen of Cedar Rapids.
Three surviving daughters are Mrs. Duane (Patricia) Maule, Aledo, Ill.; Mrs. John (Lois) Ludtke, Davenport; and Mrs. Don (Marjorie) Neipert, Wilton Junction; and 4 stepdaughters, Mrs. Leonard (Helen) Voss and Mrs. Russell (Hulda) Chapman, Tipton; Mrs. Richard (Hazel) Erwin, Wilton Junction, and Mrs. Vernon (Marylu) Voss, Bennett.
Brothers surviving are Humbert, Los Angeles, Calif.; Adolf, Atascadero, Calif.; J. G>, Burlington, and Maurice, Davenport; and a sister, Mrs. Ralph (Maude) Middleman, Lynwood, Calif., 17 grandchildren and 15 step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
