Harry B. Evans, 82, a resident of West Branch most of his life, died Oct. 13 in a nursing home in Lowden.

Services were Oct. 15 at 2 p.m. in West Branch, with the Rev. Charles F. Haigh officiating. Burial was in the West Branch cemetery.

Mr. Evans was born June 5, 1881, near Newport, the son of Thomas and Julia Sponey Evans. On Dec. 11, 1919, he married Cora Thompson in Casson, Minn.

Mr. Evans was a farmer and dairy man most of his life. He was a member of West Branch Methodist church.

Surviving are a sister, Grace Evans of Lowden, 2 nephews and one niece. He was preceded in death by his wife and a brother.
