Funeral services for Charles Mensing, 75, Blue Earth, Minn., were held Sept. 20 at Blue Earth. The son of Dietrich and Louise Ernsting Mensing, he was born at Lowden Feb. 7, 1888. He was educated in the Lowden schools and moved to Minnesota as a young man. He was married to Mary Mittlestead and they farmed in the Blue Earth vicinity until they retired and moved to Blue Earth.

He is survived by his wife, 10 children, several grandchildren and 4 brothers: Louis, Blue Earth; and Paul, William and Albert, all of Lowden. Three brothers preceded him in death.

Lowden relatives who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Paul Mensing, Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Mensing, William Mensing, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Mensing, Mr. and Mrs. Gerhard Licht, Mrs. Herman Licht, Mrs. Merle Bentrott, W. R. and Leon Mensing. Also Mrs. Preston McGoon of Cedar Rapids.
