Funeral services for Justus Bossen, 75, will be held at 1:30 p.m. today (Thursday) at the Dye funeral home with the Rev. Ray Block of the Bennett Methodist church in charge. Members of the V.F.W. and Legion in Bennett will be pallbearers. There will be a military service with the Tipton V.F.W. and the Bennett Legion participating.

Mrs. Irma Crawford will be organist. Burial will be in the Grand Mound cemetery at Grand Mound.

Mr. Bossen died Sept. 9 at the Veterans hospital at Iowa City, following a critical illness of 3 days. He had been a patient in a Tipton nursing home for 2 years.

The son of Jens and Elizabeth Lang Bossen, he was born March 10, 1888 in Grand Mound and lived there until after military service in World War I.

He lived in Bennett until about 2 years ago, when he came to a Tipton nursing home. He was a butcher.

Mr. Bossen was a member of the Tipton V.F.W. and the American Legion.

He is survived by a brother, Henry. He was preceded in death by a sister and several brothers.
