Services for James Marion Reeve, 87, who died July 27 at the George Roberts home in Davenport following an extended illness were held at the Sheets and Dahn Funeral home July 30 at 2:30 p.m.

The son of Edwin and Mary Herr Reeve, he was born July 16, 1876 at Tipton. He was married March 20, 1902 in Tipton and farmed in the Tipton area. He spent his lifetime in the community and has been cared for by his 2 daughters in the George Roberts home for the past year.

Survivors include his wife Lola, who is confined to her bed in the Roberts home; 2 daughters, Hazel Gabel and Mrs. George (Lucille) Roberts, both of Davenport; a son, Edward Martinek, Cedar Rapids; a grandson, Jim Roberts, Davenport; a sister, Mrs. Blanche Owen, Tipton and 2 brothers, Ed Reeve, Seattle, Wash., and Neale Reeve, Tipton, as well as many nieces and nephews.

His parents, a daughter, Helen Henderson, 4 brothers and 2 sisters preceded him in death. Services were conducted by the Rev. Robert J. MacDanel with burial in Masonic cemetery.
