Last rites were held here Saturday in Zion United Church of Christ for Otto Hilscher, 87, formerly of Lowden. The Rev. Emil Burrichter officiated. Mrs. Don Breneman was organist and Miss Ellen Strackbein sang hymns. Burial was in the Lowden cemetery.

Pallbearers were Frank Mostaert, Herman Gottschalk, Gerald Kemmann, Fred Wiebel, Ed Conrad and Carl Deichmann.

Mr. Hilscher died at a Tipton Nursing Home last Wednesday, where he had been a patient for several years.

Mr. Hilscher was born at Lowden and resided here most of his life. He was a retired railroad employee. There are no immediate survivors.
