Funeral services for Harry W. Horn, 71, former Durant resident, were held June 20 in Davenport and burial was at Durant cemetery.

Mr. Horn had been living with his son, Harrison W. Horn in Davenport. He died June 18 in Iowa City Veterans hospital.

Born at Sunbury, he attended Brown's business college, Davenport. In 1921 he married Ella June Lamp at Wilton Junction. She preceded him in death in 1946.

Horn was a partner in Horn Brothers trucking company, Durant, until his retirement in 1947. A veteran of World War I, he was a member of the Durant American Legion and was a 32nd Degree Mason.

Surviving are his son, Harrison, Davenport; 2 grandchildren; a half sister, Mrs. Jack Johnson, Muscatine and a brother, Waldo C. Horn, Durant.
