Funeral services were held June 12 in Durant for Peter E. Eriksen, 80, who died June 8 in St. Luke's hospital, Davenport, following an illness of three weeks. Burial was in the Durant cemetery.

He had been a resident of Durant since 1953 and had farmed in the Durant community prior to that.

Born Oct. 24, 1882 in Durant, he was the son of Peter and Augusta Eriksen. He married Susie Einfeldt Jan. 28, 1914 in Davenport. Three sisters and a brother preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Peter Jr., Moscow; three daughters, Mrs. Roy (Helen) Lammers and Mrs. Marvin (Gladys) Sohsen, both of Durant, and Mrs. Andrew (Alice) Sinkovich, Davenport; nine grandchildren; two brothers, Jim of Tacoma, Wash., and Harvey of Davenport; three sisters, Ida Eriksen, Davenport, Mrs. Emma Steffen, Tipton and Mrs. Carl Deichmann of Lowden.
