Warren D. Montgomery, 36, a native of Tipton, died May 16 at Dallas, Texas.

The son of Mr. and Mrs. F. H. Montgomery, who operated a grocery store in Tipton for 18 years, he was born Sept. 28, 1926. In 1939 the family moved to Dallas, Texas.

He attended high school in Dallas and received his bachelor of arts degree at Southern Methodist University in civil engineering. He spent 18 months in the navy, serving overseas most of the time.

At the time of his death, he was a designing engineer for the city of Dallas.

He is survived by his wife, Betty, and 2 children, Becky and Dale, his parents and a sister, Miriam, all of Dallas.
