Funeral services for Charles Edgar Belgard, 90, were held Tuesday, May 14 at the Dye funeral home in Tipton, with the Rev. A. G. Long in charge.

Pallbearers were William Hobstetter, Ernest Werling, R. R. Werling, Arnold and Wilbur Conrad, and Boone Wright. Mrs. Irma Crawford was organist, with burial in the Masonic cemetery.

Mr. Belgard died May 11 at his home in Tipton after an extended illness.

The son of Peter Thomas and Jeanette (Hawkins) Belgard, he was born July 3, 1872 on a farm 2 miles south of Tipton and spent his life in the Tipton area. He attended the rural schools.

He was married to Anna Ocheltree in Tipton Jan. 19, 1903. The couple farmed for many years.

He is survived by a son, Peter, West Liberty; 2 daughters, Mrs. Neal (Dorothy) Reeve, Tipton; Mrs. L. C. (Martha) Peters, West Liberty; a sister, Mrs. C. N. Wallick, San Diego, Calif.; 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife and a brother, William.
