She graduated from the Springdale seminary with the class of 1892 and then taught in the Cedar Hill, Springdale and West Branch schools.

For many years she was the Springdale correspondent for many papers, including those in Tipton. While living on the farm, she was a member of the Self Culture club at Springdale. After moving to West Branch she belonged to the Priscilla club and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a member of the Methodist church in West Branch.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a son who died in infancy; two brothers, Hillas and Rufus and one sister, Hannah Belle Holloway.

She is survived by her two daughters, Margaret, West Branch and Mrs. William Weber, Hinsdale, Ill.; a brother, Willard S. Maxson, West Branch; 2 grandson, Thomas W. Weber, Buffalo, N.Y., and Edwin Weber, Columbus, Ohio; and a great grandson, Bryan Maxson Weber, Columbus, Ohio
