Wm. Kleppe, Sr., of Bennett, drove out to the farm of his son Adam, three miles northeast of Bennett, last Thursday morning, and while talking to his son started to fall to the floor of the corn crib. His son caught him in his arms, but Mr. Kleppe died immediately from heart failure. Mr. Kleppe is survived by his widow, two sons and two daughters. The funeral services were held from Bennett Evangelical Reform church last Sunday afternoon. Interment was in Inland cemetery. Mr. Kleppe was born in Germany on May 7, 1859, and came to the United States when 23 years of age.
