Funeral services for Otto H. Bunge, 69, who died March 29 in his home northwest of Lowden, following a lingering illness, were held April 1 in Trinity Lutheran Church, Lowden, following a prayer service in the family home. Burial was in the Lowden cemetery.

Pallbearers were Robert, Delbert and Gordon Licht, Leonard and Everette Kroemer and Leonard Suhr.

Flowers where in charge of Mrs. Erhard Kromer and Mrs. Norman Kroemer. The Men's choir sang, accompanied by Mrs. Lorenz Hoffmeier.

He was born April 22, 1893 at Lowden, the son of the late William and Wilhelmina Ernsting Bunge. He attended the Local school and was married Nov. 27, 1920 to Dorothea Licht. They farmed in the Lowden vicinity. He was a World War I Veteran and member of Lillis-Deerberg Post No. 366 American Legion, a life member of Trinity Lutheran Church where he served for 9 years on the Church Board, 6 years as an elder and was congregational secretary for a number of years.

He is survived by his wife; 4 sons, Carl, Davenport, Howard, River Forest, Ill., Gerald, Glen Burn, N.D. and Robert, at home; a daughter, Dorothea, Minot, N.D.; 2 sisters, Mrs. Arthur (Clara) Kroemer and Mrs. Herbert (Alma) Kroemer, both of Lowden and 4 grandchildren.
