Funeral services for Mrs. Jane Newton Rumble, 86, were held Tuesday at the Mulberry street Frist United Church of Christ with the Rev. R. J. MacDanel in charge. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Pallbearers were Sprague Hall, Everett Calvin, Hallet Harris, LaVerne Suchomel, A. S. Petersen and Folmer Jensen. Mrs. Jack Spear, Mrs. Steve Yetter, Mrs. Lula Statts, Mrs. Kathryn Carlisle and Mrs. Laura Hoon were in charge of flowers.

Sheets and Dahn were in charge of the service.

Mrs. Rumble died March 30 at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, a day after she suffered a stroke while at the Five O Five Grill operated by her son, Allen Rumble Jr.

She was born in Clinton Sept. 2, 1876 and graduated from Lyons high school. She was married to Allen E. Rumble Sr. in Clinton April 21, 1897. He preceded her in death.

She was a member of First United Church of Christ.

She is survived by 3 sons, Joseph Newton, Albuquerque, N.M., Fred A., Davenport and Allen E. Jr., Tipton; 3 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
