Tuesday Miss S. E. Neely received a message from her brother, Jacob C. Neely, of Clinton, stating that his wife was rapidly sinking. This was followed shortly after by another announcing her death, which occurred about noon. Deceased had been ill for several months, yet bore her long suffering with uncomplaining patience. Mrs. Neely was well known here, having resided here with her husband up to about seven years ago when they moved to Tipton and thence to Clinton. Miss Neely went to Clinton Tuesday evening in response to the sad summons.
