Funeral services for Frank J. Dohrman, 76, were held at the Chapman funeral home in Clarence Feb. 8 with Gordon Smith officiating. Burial was in the Evangelical and Reformed church cemetery.

Mr. Dohrman died in University hospital Feb. 5, his birthday, where he had been a patient since Jan. 22.

The son of C. L. and Doris Moeller Dohrman, he was born on a farm near Big Rock Feb. 5, 1887. Part of this farm is now part of the Minneyata Boy Scout camp. He graduated from Dixon high school and attended Brown's Business college and Tarkio college in Tarkio, Mo.

Mr. Dohrman began railroad work in 1911, which was interrupted by World War I. When he went to be inducted into the army he became ill with pneumonia. After he recovered, he worked at the Rock Island Arsenal until the end of the war.

He returned to railroading as a signal maintenance man and worked for companies having contracts to install electric train controls on railroad systems.

Mr. Dohrman was married to Elna Burton of Clarence at Rome, Ga. Nov. 30, 1926.

He is survived by his widow, a daughter, Mrs. Marvin (Doris) Horn, Clarence, 2 granddaughters, Terry and Linda Horn, a sister, Miss Minnie Wood, Davenport, and a brother, William, Sweet Home, Ore. He was preceded in death by 9 brothers and sisters.
