Mrs. Myrtle Pierce, 61, died Feb. 2 at University hospital, Iowa City, after a long illness. Mrs. Pierce had a heart condition.

Funeral services were Feb. 4 at West Liberty. Burial was in Oakridge cemetery.

Born March 17, 1901, in Cedar county, she was a daughter of Frederick and Ada Collison. She was married to Floyd Pierce Dec. 10, 1919, at Springdale.

Mrs. Pierce attended the Methodist church.

Survivors are her husband, 3 sons, Charles Frederick, West Liberty, Herbert LeRoy, East Dubuque, Ill., and Marion Roy, Indianola, and 5 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Forest Collison, Tipton and Harry Collison, Muscatine, and a sister, Mrs. Ethel Conley, Atalissa. Two brothers preceded her in death.
