Funeral services for Arthur John Wacker, 74, Wilton Junction was held Nov. 10 at the Zion Lutheran church in Wilton Junction. Mr. Wacker died at his home Nov. 7 after suffering a heart attack.

He retired from the Wilton Savings Bank a few months ago after suffering a heart attack. Before his retirement he was also active in the community band and other community projects.

He continued as park commissioner despite his illness.

He worked in the old Farmer's Bank in Wilton Junction for several years before its merger with the Wilton Savings Bank.

Mr. Wacker was a lifelong resident of the community having been born in Wilton Junction Oct. 21, 1887. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran church.

Wacker was married to the former Amelia Grunder June 3, 1920.

Surviving daughters are Mrs. Dale (Emily) Burr, Lone Tree; Mrs. Calvin (Marion) Schmidt, Durant; and Mrs. George (Shirley) McClean, Moline, Ill.

Services were conducted by the Rev. John B. Nieman.

Vocalists were John Shuger, Mervin Jipp, Louis Brammier, Harold Jr. Wacker, Leo Grunder, Harold Grunder, Ronald Grunder, Ronald Allmandinger and Norman Peeks. They were accompanied by H. L. Waech.

Flower attendants were Mrs. Ernest Brammier, Mrs. Alvin Jipp, and Mrs. H. L. Waech. Robert Wacker, Delbert Wacker, Wally Marolf, Leo Marolf, Arnold Marolf and Wayne Grunder were the pallbearers.
