Mrs. Margaret R. Lynch, 77, of rural Cedar Valley, died early Oct. 14 shortly after being admitted to Mercy hospital in Iowa City.

Mrs. Lynch was born April 13, 1884, at the Nolan settlement, the daughter of William and Hannah Dwyer Cahill. Sept. 18, 1906, she was married to Timothy Lynch.

She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic church at Cedar Valley, the Altar and Rosary society and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include 5 daughters, Vera, at home; Mrs. Lucille Edgerton, West Branch; Mrs. Kathleen Julius, Walpole, Mass. and Mrs. Maxine McCalley and Lorraine Lynch, both of Cedar Rapids; 5 sons, William, Seattle, Wash.; John, Tipton; Desmond, Cedar Rapids; Paul, at home, and Maurice, West Branch; a sister, Mrs. A. K. Smith; 5 brothers, Michael Cahill of Iowa City, and Maurice, William, John and Francis Cahill, all of West Branch; and 16 grandchildren.

Mrs. Lynch was preceded in death by her husband, a son and a brother.

Funeral services were held Oct. 17 at St. Joseph's church at Cedar Valley. Burial was in the church cemetery.
