Funeral services for Mrs. Edith High, 67, were held Oct. 4 at the Presbyterian church in Mechanicsville with the Rev. George Gallaher in charge. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery.

She was born Nov. 12, 1893 at Lisbon, the daughter of William and Sadie D. Thompson. She had lived in the Mechanicsville community from the time of her marriage to Julius High in 1914 until her death.

She died Oct. 2 at St. Luke's hospital in Cedar Rapids, following an illness of several months.

Mrs. High was an active member of the Presbyterian church and a past matron of Evangeline Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by a son, James, a sister, Essie May Hill, Aberdeen, S.D.; 3 brothers, James E. Ashville, N.C.; Manly G., Milwaukee, Wis. and W. Harris Thompson, Downers Grove, Ill.
