21 September 1961 - The Tipton Conservative

Funeral services for Albert John Zajicek, 84, were held Sept. 18 at St. Mary's Catholic church, with the Rev. Edward Collins in charge. Burial was in St. Mary's cemetery.

Pallbearers were William Suchomel, Joe and John Kessler, John Buresh, Stanley Shima and Marvin Mallie.

He was born April 21, 1877 in Solon and spent his life in the Solon and Tipton communities as a farmer and businessman. His wife, Rose, preceded him in death in 1931.

Mr. Zajicek died Sept. 16 at a Tipton nursing home after an illness of several months.

He is survived by 2 daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Eleanor) Machart, Anamosa; Mrs. Martin (Alma) Kipp, Mechanicsville; 3 sons, Clarence, Audubon; Francis, Tucson, Ariz., and Leo, Seattle, Wash.; 12 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Mary Meyers, Solon.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by an infant son.
