Funeral services for Henry D. Meyer, 75, were held Sept. 6 at the Sheets and Dahn funeral home with the Rev. Arthur Stratemeyer in charge. Pallbearers were Eugene Moore, William Andresen, Hermann Onken, Forrest Ford, Edo Thein and George Tevis.

Mr. Meyer died Sept., 4 at Tipton after a short illness.

He was born in Germany April 9, 1886, and came to the United States as a young man. He was married to Josephine Foss Feb. 11, 1909. He farmed in the Tipton and Bennett communities until his retirement.

He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Mrs. Bernhardt (Nellie) Stuehm, Bennett; 2 granddaughters, Mrs. Wallace Ford, Lowden and Mrs. Richard Perry, Arlington, Va., a niece, Mrs. Leonard Soppe, who made her home with them, 3 great-grandchildren and several other nieces and nephews.
