Funeral services for George Bixler, 88, retired farmer and lifelong resident of the Clarence community were held Sept. 6 in the Clarence Methodist church.

Mr. Bixler died Sept. 3 in St. Luke's hospital in Cedar Rapids.

He is survived by his wife, 2 sons, Milo, North Canton, Ohio, and Elmer, Stanwood; 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mrs. Harry Decker, Clarence and Mrs. Sadie Young, Ames and a brother, Ingram, Cedar Rapids.
