August 24, 1961 - The Tipton Conservative

Funeral services for Mrs. Forrest Willer, 62, were held at the Sheets and Dahn funeral home in Tipton Aug. 20. The Rev. Omar Pettersen was in charge.

Pallbearers, all nephews, were Walter, Merle, Raymond and Harold Eiler, William Butterbrodt and Dale Miller. Mr. and Mrs. George Mueller and Mr. and Mrs. Boone Wright were in charge of flowers.

Mrs. Willer died at Mercy hospital at Iowa City Aug. 18 after an illness of a week.

Ella Augusta, the daughter of Fred and Alma Meimers Eiler, was born Aug. 1, 1899 at Tipton. She was married to Forrest Willer in Cedar Rapids Feb. 21, 1921 and spent her life in the Tipton area.

She was a member of Kings Daughters.

She is survived by her husband, a son, Forrest Willer Jr., and a daughter, Mrs. Wesley (Donna) Marquett, both of Tipton; 3 grandchildren, Sharlene and Gary Marquett and David Willer, 2 sisters, Mrs. Freida Miller, Clarence and Mrs. Anna Butterbrodt, Tipton; 2 brothers, August and Fred Eiler, both of Tipton and several nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 4 brothers.

August 31, 1951 - The Tipton Conservative

Ella Augusta Eilers, daughter of Fred W. and Alma Eilers, was born Aug. 1, 1899, northwest of Tipton. She died Aug. 18, 1961, at Mercy hospital, Iowa City, following a short illness. She attained the age of 62 years and 17 days.

She attended Linn Grove country school and the Bennett Lutheran church school where she was confirmed at an early age. She also attended State Teachers college at Cedar Falls.

She was united in marriage to Forrest B. Willer Feb. 2, 1921, in Cedar Rapids. They established their home on a farm east of Tipton.

She was a member of the Helping Hand Rebekah Lodge No. 517 Garey-Whalen Unit of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Ida Mansfield Circle of King's Daughters.

Mrs. Willer was the youngest of 9 children. She was preceded in death by her parents and 4 brothers, Henry, William, Charles and Ernest Eilers.

She is survived by her husband, Forrest B. Willer; a daughter, Mrs. Wesley Marquett and son, Forrest E. Willer; 3 grandchildren, Sharlene and Gary Marquett and David Willer; 2 sisters, Mrs. Frieda Miller, Clarence and Mrs. Anna Butterbrodt, Tipton; and 2 brothers, August and Fred Eilers, also of Tipton; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Aug. 20, at the Sheets and Dahn Funeral home with the Rev. Omar Pettersen of Bennett officiating. Burial was in the Masonic cemetery.

Pallbearers were her nephews, William Butterbrodt, Harold and Walter Eilers, all of Tipton; Raymond Eilers, Mechanicsville, Dale Miller, Clarence and Merle Eilers, Stanwood.
