June 29, 1961 - The Tipton Conservative

Mrs. Karl A. Muhs, 64, who lived on a farm one mile north of Durant, died June 20 at her home.

Born in Scott county, Elsie Arp married on Feb. 3, 1915. Survivors are her husband; her mother, Mrs. Lizzie Arp, Dixon; 4 sisters, Mrs. Otto (Dora) Roehlk, Maysville; Mrs. Walter (Meta) Fredericks, Walcott; Mrs. Charles (Minnie) Meier, Sunbury, and Mrs. Claire (Wilma) McDermott, Davenport; 4 brothers, Henry H. and Arnold A. Arp, both of Davenport; Harry and Vernon Arp, both of Dixon.

Services were June 23 in the Gloria Dei Lutheran church in Durant with burial in Durant cemetery.

July 6, 1961 - The Tipton Conservative

Funeral services for Mrs. Karl A. Muhs, 64, or rural Durant, were held at Gloria Dei Lutheran church in Durant June 23.

Mrs. Muhs died at her home June 20.

Born in Scott county, Elsie Arp married Karl Muhs Feb. 3, 1915. She was a member of Royal Neighbors of America, Camp 4617.

Survivors include her husband, her mother, Mrs. Lizzie Arp, Dixon; 4 sisters, Mrs. Otto (Dora) Roehlk, Maysville; Mrs. Walter (Meta) Fredericks, Walcott; Mrs. Claire (Wilma) McDermott, Davenport, and Mrs. Charles (Minnie) Meier, Sunbury; 4 brothers, Henry H. and Arnold Arp, Davenport, Harry and Vernon Arp, Dixon.
