John Douglas Moon, 15, died at his home in Wilton Junction Feb. 14, following a lengthy illness.

Born Feb. 18, 1945 in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was a son of Mrs. Clara Moon and the late John B. Moon, Attorney at Law. He was a resident of Wilton Junction for 5 years and active in all school sports and a member of the band. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran church.

Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Clara (Wacker) Moon and one sister, Constance, both of Wilton Junction.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral services were Friday, Feb. 17, at the Zion Lutheran church. The Rev. John B. Nieman officiated. Casketbearers were Gary Rohlf, Raymond Waech, Craig Schaffer, John Nieman, Jack Elder and Frank Fair. Honorary casketbearers were Bill Barnes, Richard Schlegel, Dennis Howe, John Stewart, Rich Evans and Chugger Prewitt.
