Funeral services for Charles S. Wren, 79, were held Feb. 14 at West Branch with the Rev. Clifford Wolfe in charge. Burial was in the Honey Grove cemetery.

Mr. Wren died Feb. 11 at a Tipton nursing home following an extended illness.

The son of Lemuel and Esther Heacock Wren, he was born July 18, 1881 in West Branch and spent his life in the West Branch area.

He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by 4 sisters, Mrs. J. C. Hinty, Springdale, Mrs. Carrie White, Mrs. Esther Phipps and Alda Wren, all of Pasadena, Calif. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers and a sister.
