S. A. (Pete) Dickey, 65, implement dealer in Durant for 16 years, died at his home Jan. 23 following a brief illness.

He was born Aug. 6, 1895 near Martinsburg, the son of Oscar and Mary Dickey. He married Myrtle Simmonton in 1917 and to this union was born two sons, Harold and Max, both of whom live in Packwood.

he was married to Belva Doak in 1945. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge at Abington and of the Kaaba Shrine at Davenport and the Loyal Order of the Moose at Tipton.

Survivors include his wife, 2 sons and 8 grandchildren, 2 brothers, Ernest of Ottumwa and George of Hedrick.

Funeral services were held at 9:30 a.m. Jan. 26 and then he was taken to the Raymond Funeral Home at Fairfield where services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Burial was in the Packwood cemetery.
