Funeral services for Carl Allmandinger, 81, Sunbury, were held Jan. 10, at Durant. Burial was at Wheatland cemetery.

Mr. Allmandinger, a retired coal and lumber yard and grain elevator operator, died Friday evening at a Tipton nursing home following an extended illness.

A resident of Sunbury since 1904 he was born in Germany Jan. 18, 1879. He married Augusta Schoenhauls at Rock Island, Ill., March 30, 1909. Mr. Allmandinger retired from business in 1955.

Survivors include a son, Carl, Wilton Junction; 4 daughters, Mrs. Arnold Ketelsen, Tipton; Mrs. Pete Nagle, Davenport; Mrs. Kurt Dietrich, Cedar Rapids; and Edna Allmandinger, Sunbury; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife in 1945.
