Mr. W. E. Rickard died at his home in Red Oak township Monday after a brief illness. He was a citizen held in high esteem by all who knew him and one of the early settlers. The funeral occurred yesterday from the Red Oak Presbyterian church in charge of the G.A.R. of which he was a prominent member, a large number of the comrades from this section attending.
